The Philippine Computer Society offers two types of membership: Individual and
Partnership. Membership acceptance is based on the rules and regulations
promulgated by the Membership Committee. Membership approval is granted by the
Board of Trustees of PCS.
1. Who can apply to become a partner institution/organization?
Any institution or organization authorized by the relevant government agency,
sharing common objectives and capable of providing complementary resources,
expertise, or capabilities in the holistic advancement of ICT professionals or
information technology.
2. Who can be endorsed to serve as the designated official representative of a
partner to the Philippine Computer Society?
An individual who meets the requirements for individual membership in PCS can
be endorsed by the institution/organization to officially represent the institution as
an education partner of PCS.
3. Who can apply for individual membership in PCS?
An individual employed in a computing or information technology-related field is
eligible to apply for individual membership in PCS. This individual may serve as a
faculty member, teacher, or trainer involved in research management,
supervision, or instructional activities within the realm of computing or information
technology. They may or may not simultaneously hold a position primarily
focused on computing or IT-related tasks within an IT supplier,
telecommunications vendor, or other enterprise centered on IT/ICT as its core
business. Additionally, they may or may not simultaneously work primarily in
computing or IT-related roles within an enterprise whose core business is
unrelated to IT/ICT.
The scope of such an individual’s occupation may include:
a. Development, distribution, implementation, support, and operation of
telecommunication, computer hardware/software, and multimedia content.
b. Provision of information services to end-users.
c. Management of any of the aforementioned processes.
4. What are the benefits of being a PCS Partner?
- Receipt of a certificate acknowledging the institution's affiliation as a PCS
partner - Representation of the partner at essential meetings and events
- Equivalent rights and privileges of the official representative to individual PCS members
- Exclusive discounts for significant PCS events, seminars, and conferences
- Assistance of PCS for resource speakers for company, association, or
school events (with reasonable notice) - Priority access and discounted rates for training events associated with the
association-partner collaboration
5. Who can apply for individual membership in PCS?
- Electronic certificate confirming individual membership
- Upon request and written authorization from a PCS member in good
standing, PCS will confirm membership to current or prospective employers/institutions of learning - Free admission to Membership Meetings, which focus on local ICT industry developments, government strategies, and PCS projects
- Free admission to the Professional Development Program (TECHTALKS),
covering ICT trends and soft skills development - Participation in PCS Certification Programs to enhance professional
credentials - Leadership development opportunities, including committee chairmanship
- Networking and business opportunities through PCS membership
- Discounts on fees to major conferences, seminars, and trainings
